Responsible Gambling
HavaBet is dedicated to keeping gambling as safe as it can be. Betting is meant to be a form of entertainment — never a way to earn money or to win back what you have lost.

Know the facts
Across the long run the odds always sit with the operator. The likeliest outcome is that you lose. Only ever stake money you can comfortably afford to lose, decide on a limit before you begin, and never try to win back what you have already lost.
Warning signs of gambling harm
Gambling has stopped being entertainment once it begins to cost you more than money alone. It may be worth reaching out for help if you:
- Bet with money you genuinely cannot afford to lose
- Spend more time or money on gambling than you intended
- Chase your losses by placing fresh bets to recover earlier ones
- Conceal or play down your gambling to family and friends
- Feel restless, anxious or irritable when you are not betting
- Borrow money to fund gambling or to clear gambling debts
- Find that you cannot stop even though you have tried
- Miss work, study or time with family because of gambling
- Turn to gambling to escape problems or difficult feelings
- Gamble as a way of coping with stress or low mood
You do not have to face this on your own — support is free, confidential and available around the clock. Gambling Help Online — 1800 858 858 (free, confidential, 24/7), gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop — betstop.gov.au. Lifeline 13 11 14.
Tools to stay in control
Straight from your account you can put deposit limits in place, pause deposits for a while, switch on reality reminders, or self-exclude. Lowering a deposit limit applies straight away, while any increase only takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period.
Deposit limits
Setting a deposit limit is a compulsory step when you open your account. You are free to reduce it whenever you wish, and the reduction applies immediately; an increase, by contrast, is held back by a 7-day cooling-off period, so a spur-of-the-moment decision cannot push your exposure higher.
Take a break (cool-off)
From your account settings you can pause your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 6 months. While the break is running you cannot place bets or deposit, though your account stays open so you can withdraw funds and settle any bets that are still open.
Activity statements & reality checks
Every month we send an account activity statement that sets out your total deposits, total bets, winnings and overall net position, giving you a clear view of what gambling is genuinely costing you. You can also turn on reality reminders while you are in a session.
Opting out of marketing
You can switch off every form of direct marketing from within your account, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by getting in touch with our support team.
Pre-commitment
We run no sign-up bonuses, bonus bets, deposit matches or any other inducements to make you open an account or keep wagering. Deciding on your limits ahead of time — known as pre-commitment — is the single most effective way to stay in control.
Self-exclusion
When you need to stop, you can self-exclude with us for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or on an indefinite basis. For whichever period you choose, we will close your account to new bets and deposits and take you off all marketing.
BetStop — national self-exclusion
BetStop is the Australian Government's free National Self-Exclusion Register. Once you have registered, you will be unable to open or use an account with any licensed Australian online or telephone wagering provider for the exclusion period you nominate. Visit betstop.gov.au.
